Are you not excited to purchase your very first luggage? You should be. And if you purchase correctly, that brand new luggage will eventually become your good old luggage. It will offer you years of good service. What are the reasons why you are planning to purchase one? Is it going to be used for travel or otherwise? There are different types of luggage to fit all your needs.
Luggage products range from entry-level to high-end. Big, small, stylish to understated. There’s a perfect one out there for you. All you need to do is look. It is always recommended that you need to do some research before you make the actual purchase. How big a luggage do you need? Or perhaps a smaller one would do? These are just the start of the factors that you need to consider.
Let me tell you about my experience about purchasing my very first luggage. I was migrating to another city to attend training because of my new job. Though I had my bags, backpacks to be exact, all my clothes and personal effects just won’t fit any longer. So I finally decided to grow up and buy a luggage. I knew that I was going to travel more. So I decided to look for a luggage that was durable.
I’m very particular with durability when I make a purchase with almost anything. I believe products that do not last are not worth investing in. All my purchases are investments; they have to be of top value for my hard-earned cash. That’s what I learned from the recession. With cash in hand, I went to the local store to look for my very first luggage.
When I arrived at the store, I headed to the luggage department. I was a bit overwhelmed because I have never seen so many luggages in my entire life. I didn’t even know where to start. They were arranged attractively: by color, size and style. But the kind of luggage I was planning to purchase was clear; I wanted a functional, durable and reasonably priced luggage.
It has to be very practical; it might just the only piece of luggage that I would ever purchase. After a few minutes, I was approached by the salesman. Having had an experience in sales, I already knew what he was about to say. So I was just polite all throughout his pitch and promotion of some very particular luggage. They were good in their own right.
I decided to tell him in a nice way that I knew what he was trying to do. So he laughed and smiled. I commended him for doing his job in a very polite manner. Then I told him exactly what I was looking for. He led me through some products that were very attractive. But the one that stood out was a very simple looking luggage.
It was everything that I was looking for in a luggage. The trolley was built in and it had security features which were impressive. It was light and seemed very durable. I’m still using it to this day. By the way, I bought that luggage ten years ago.
